Organized by PLAKART in partnership with Warsaw Poster Biennale, Czech Association of Graphic Designer, Marmara University, Istanbul.
About the competition
Through research we learned that 25,000 people die daily of hunger. But not just from a lack of food, but also from a lack of electricity, water basic needs for life…. At the same time, it is both a provoking issue and also one that can provoke creativity.”
“POWER vs. POVERTY” represents a base of cultural interchange, realizing the importance of poverty. Through the concretization of the ideas based on influence of the power over poverty, the young spirit showed its value and realize the common advantages that this concept offers, building solid grounds for further global promotion.
The results were: over 1600 posters submitted during 4 months from 36 countries all over the globe. Around 50,000 people have already seen the exhibition, traveled thru Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, USA, France, EU cultural centers and faculties and academies in the region of Balkans.
We are proud to mention that we have the biggest archive of student poster in Europe, more than 7000 posters, all digitally printed and preserved.
