This year, our Family Film selection brings only one, but extremely valuable title.

The Slovenian film Beanie (age 6+) by director Slobodan Maksimovic won the award for the Best children’s film as chosen by the children’s jury at the Sarajevo Film Festival 2022.

Beanie is the first Slovenian Christmas movie, and it was filmed according to the script of the children’s writer Sasa Erzen. This beautiful story is about a friendship between a boy Erik who has nothing and a girl Lucka who has everything.

The movie is co-produced by Luxembourg, Croatia and Slovakia. So far, it has been shown at numerous festivals, where it has aroused great interest among young audiences.
