Synopsis

Seeing no exit from absolute poverty, Biljana commits a last desperate act and ends up in a psychiatric ward. Social services take her children away from her husband Nikola, with the justification that their level of poverty is unacceptable for children to live in. This awakens an unseen determination in Nikola to bring back his family by embarking on the risky trip. When he decides to start a 300 kilometres journey to the capital, on foot, he seems delusional. Many people he meets along the road are persuading him out of his ideas, offering alternative solutions in an attempt to dispel his hope. However, his determination never ceases and he never loses hope. This road movie is a search for justice, a struggle of an ordinary man against a corrupted bureaucratic system. Based on true story of a man who walked across half of Serbia to appeal losing his children. Fantastic performance of the Croatian actor Goran Bogdan
