Lana Baric on utrecht and tereza 37
Journalist Tatjana Lisjak spoke to LANA BARIC about her visit to Utrecht where her film TEREZA 37 will have the Dutch premiere on 3rd November in Louis Hardlooper Complex
ENFF is delighted to host Lana Baric, one of the best Croatian actresses of her generation. Lana is a screenwriter and the main actress of Croatian Oscar nominee TEREZA37 which she will present at the Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht on November 3rd.
Directed by Danilo Serbedzija, TEREZA37 tells the story of a middle-aged woman from Dalmatia who is pressured by traditional surroundings to conceive. Praised for a masterful performance by Baric (according to critics the role of her career), this meticulous study of a female character won many awards in the homeland and abroad, including six Golden Arenas at Pula Film, and is now conquering the hearts of audiences all over Europe.
– I am very glad that the ENFF audience will get the opportunity to see TEREZA37 – says Baric, who can’t wait to visit The Netherlands again. It’s been a while since she performed in a play in Groningen and participated at IFFR, and now she is hoping to gain some insight into the reactions of the Dutch audience.
– So far, we have only had good experiences wherever we have been screening, from Balkan countries to Spain, Poland, France, and Italy. I have to admit, our audience is mostly female. Women of all ages and statuses come to see our story. They find it easy to relate to – reveals Baric, while inviting everyone to join us next Wednesday at 7 PM.
Other notable roles are played by Ivana Roscic, Marija Skaricic, Natasa Janjic, Goran Bogdan, Leno Lucev, and the DOP Mirko Pivcevic did fantastic photography in the film.
