ENFF ON TOUR IN THE HAGUE – CANCELLED

This October we visit the Laaktheater in The Hague, presenting the audience’s favourite film of last year: MY GRANDPA IS AN ALIEN. This Croatian-Slovenian film by Marina Andree Skop and Drazen Zarkovic, is a touching science fiction children’s film about friendship, love and family. Dutch subtitled. THE PIG – ENFF ON TOUR IN AMSTERDAM

The Eastern Neighbors Film Festival which annually presents the best and most relevant films from Eastern Europe in The Hague, goes on tour and visits Rialto, Amsterdam. On September 26, it presents the Best Bulgarian Film of 2019 – The Pig by Dragomir Sholev. Festival director Rada Sesic will introduce the film and the upcoming edition of ENFF. Afterwards there will be a recorded Q&A with Sholev.

ENFF NEW TALENTS COMPETITION

We’ve received 83 films in total! The films come from all over the region of Eastern and South Eastern Europe, and are of different genres: fiction, documentary, hybrid and animation. We are already impressed by the great quality and various topics of the films. The viewing and films selection is in process and more news will follow soon. We are proud to announce our participation together with IDFA in the very significant Srebrenica is Dutch history project which commemorates the Srebrenica genocide 25 years after the tragic events. As part of the program, ENFF curated a special short film program featuring thematic works by Jasmila Zbanic, Sajra Subasic, Hanna Slak and Ines Tanovic available for free viewing.

ON TOUR IN LHC, UTRECHT 2020

ENFF On Tour in Utrecht brings two extraordinary docu-fiction films made by female directors: ARAF (Berlinale) by Turkish cineast Didem Pekun, shot in Bosnia and Herzegovina and ONCE UPON A TIME IN SHANGHAI (IDFA) by Azerbaijani filmmaker Leyli Gafarova.
