At the closing ceremony we viewed a recently restored Sweet Emma, Dear Bobe by Hungarian master Istvan Szabo in the presence of Dutch actress Johanna ter Steege, who commented that the fashion and she herself had changed, but the film looked like it was made yesterday. Next to the film screenings in progam Cinema by Migrants/Cinema on Migrants, we had a DEBATE about the new identity of European contemporary cinema. The program Short Films, Big Stories was accompanied by film directors Aleksandra Odic and Bernard Brkic together with the actress Katarina Justic. On our friday night we welcomed many special guests from abroad to Eastern Neighbours, such as star actor Sebastian Cavazza, Kosovar actor and producer Fatmir Spahiu, talented Bulgarian actress Marina Apostolova as well as Ukrainian director/scriptwriter Roman Bondarchuk and scriptwriter/producer Dar’ya Averchenko.
